It’s hard to believe that people are thinking back to school while we’re still in June, but when it comes to computer deals that can save you money, timing can be everything. Best Buy, which calls itself the Back To School Techfitter, has a couple of deals running that, if you are a student, you can put them together to save quite a bit of money on a new MacBook Air and also enjoy considerable savings on other Apple products including iPads and iMacs.

By providing your student email address you can receive a coupon code that allows you to take $150 off of the newest lineup of Apple products. If you’re considering a a new MacBook Air, it gets even better. Best Buy is already discounting $100 from Apple’s price on the newest entry level 11.6 inch MacBook Air. For example that model with a Core i5 processor, 128GB of SSD storage and 4GB of memory normally retails at Apple for $899. Best Buy is currently offering that model for $799, but only through tomorrow, Saturday, July 21. If you apply the $150 student discount you can order that MacBook Air for $650. That is a considerable savings of $250.

You can apply the $150 discount to MacBook Pros and iMacs as well, but those devices are not subject to the $100 savings deal that is offered for the MacBook Air through tomorrow. We don’t have information as to when the $150 off back to school promotion expires.

The MacBook Air line for many is considered Apple’s entry level MacBook. It’s thin and light profile might just make it the right laptop to cart around campus in your backpack. The MacBook Air is a favorite among many on the GBM staff.

The 11.6-inch MacBook Air 2014 is 0.68-inch thick at the largest spot and weighs 2.38 pounds. It has a display resolution of 1366×768. It includes two USB 3.0 ports and a Thunderbolt port, an SD card slot, and a FaceTime HD Video camera. WiFi is 802.11 A/C. This new MacBook Air 2014 model ships with OS X Mavericks and includes free access to Apple’s iLife suite (iPhoto, iMovie, GarageBand,) and iWork suite (Pages, Numbers and KeyNote.)

In order to qualify for the deal you have to enter a qualified student email address on this webpage. That email address has to end in .edu. That same qualification can also net you $50 off on an iPad Air or iPad mini with Retina Display as well as other products at Best Buy. Coupon codes to take advantage of the savings are emailed to that college email address. You then apply that coupon code at checkout if you are shopping online, or you can bring the coupon codes to your local Best Buy and have them applied to your purchase there. Online shoppers also qualify for free shipping.

I just bought a great Ariel Atom from having earned $9356 this month and would you believe, $10k this past-month. This is really the most-comfortable work I have ever had. I began this 6 months ago and right away was bringing in more than $83 per/h. This is what I do… PayCog.c*om

You have a misprint in your article. You state July 21st as “tomorrow”. We are still in the month of June.
