Fastest Comcast Internet Plan Delivers Insane Speeds

Forget Google Fiber. If you have the money and you live in the right place you can get speeds up to twice as fast as Google Fiber with a new Comcast Internet plan.

The Comcast Gigabit Pro plan is 80 times faster than the FCC bare minimum for broadband plans and many more times faster than most of the plans that consumers in the U.S. are currently paying for.

This new Comcast Internet plan is only available in select areas and it is expensive. You won’t just pay a big bill each month, you’ll also need to spend up to $1,000 for activation and installation.

Once you shell out a grand to get access to the fastest Comcast internet plan you will need to pay $299.95 a month. You’ll also need to sign a two-year commitment to the plan and wait six to eight weeks for Comcast to complete a custom installation to your house. There is no option to bundle this with your cable bill for a cheaper monthly bill.

After all of this, it is important to note that Comcast includes in the fine print that, “Actual speeds vary and are not guaranteed.” When you do reach peak speeds you fast connections in both directions.

Comcast Gigabit Pro offers up to 2Gbps downloads and 2Gbps upload speeds. Most cable connections offer a vastly higher download speed than they do upload speed.

Business owners cannot get access to this plan as it is only available to residential customers.

By the end of the year Comcast hopes that this will be available to about 18 million homes.
