You'll also want to pick a companion that compliments your play style. Here's what I mean. Dogmeat can't shoot guns. He attacks enemies up close and if you have the right perk, he can drag opponents down and open up improved V.A.T.S. He compliments my play style well because I enjoy killing enemies at range with sniper rifles and other long guns. Other characters are adept at stealth, energy weapons, and the flamethrower for close quarters combat. Choose wisely and you're going to come out of big fights in much better shape. | |||||||||
