8 iPhone Privacy Settings You Need to Change

Geo-Located Photos

When you take a photo on your iPhone, it's possible that your location is attached to that photo automatically, so if you were to send that photo to anyone else, they could see the exact location of where you took that photo. That's not a huge deal if you were on vacation and took pictures of the beach and such, but if you took a photo at home, people could see where you live.

To disable geo-located photos in iOS on your iPhone, open the Settings app and navigate to Privacy > Location Services. You’ll see a list of apps, but you'll want to select Camera. Select Never on the next page and you're all set.

While you're there, you might as well go through all of the other apps in the list and enable or disable certain apps from accessing your location.
