Rumors suggest that Apple will be coming out with a 12.9-inch iPad sometime this year, possibly in late third quarter. The timing of the launch makes sense though we still aren't sold on a massive iPad for consumers who want something larger than the current models.
The prospect of a larger iPad is exciting, given that iOS supports Bluetooth keyboards and mice, and if it's a real device, it will certainly appeal to those that want an experience that is in between that of a tablet and a full-sized, fully-spec'd notebook.
Apple's competitors have been in this sector for awhile now and it could be that 2014 is the year that the company finally offer something a little bit bigger to its iPad customers. Nothing is set in stone, but the rumors certainly have us excited for the future.
