Xbox Live Multiplayer & Infrastructure

For the games built specifically for Windows 10, Microsoft has some good extras. Microsoft is adding the entire Xbox Live infrastructure to Windows 10 slowly.

Even Windows 8 supported Xbox Live Achievements. Those are back and earnable from apps in the Windows Store. When Gigantic and Fable Legends launch on Windows PCs this year, they'll connect up to Microsoft's gaming services. Gamers will get to earn achievements and play alongside their Xbox One counterparts.

New accessories like the Xbox One Elite Wireless Controller, will come packing Xbox on Windows 10 later this year. Windows 10 already supports Xbox One Wireless Controllers, but with a USB cable. This fall, a wireless adapter will enable wireless play. DirectX 12, an upgrade for Windows's internal gaming subsystems, is included in Windows 10 too. Xbox head Phil Spencer told developers at GDC 2015 that this upgrade alone could result in 20% better performance, according to Xbox Wire.
