To kick off the first full week of Holiday 2015 shopping Microsoft, makers of the Xbox One, has a huge deal running for one day only. The software and hardware firm’s Cyber Monday 2015 sale includes a $60 gift card and a free game. That’s on top of the free games that are already included with many of its bundles.
Microsoft revealed its Cyber Monday 2015 sales this morning, just a few days after it offered Black Friday 2015 shoppers the best Xbox One deal ever. Until tomorrow, anyone can purchase a 500GB Xbox One entertainment console for $299. That’s the least the console has ever been available for. Cyber Monday sales are a big chance for shoppers to save every year – especially if they were out of town or didn’t have the time to visit stores over the weekend.
The Microsoft Store Cyber Monday 2015 encourages shoppers to pick up the console online with a mix of deals and select savings. The Xbox One Limited Edition Halo 5: Guardians Bundle, Xbox One Gears of War: Ultimate Edition Bundle, Xbox One 1TB Holiday Bundle, Xbox One Rise of the Tomb Raider Bundle, Xbox One The Lego Movie Videogame Bundle, Xbox One Fallout 4 Bundle, Xbox One Halo: The Master Chief Collection Bundle, Xbox One Madden NFL 16 Bundle, Xbox One+ Kinect Bundle, Xbox One FIFA 16 Bundle and Xbox One Elite Bundles are all included in the deal.
The included $60 gift code is for Microsoft’s Xbox & Windows Stores. Available through Windows 10, the Xbox One and the Xbox 360, these stores allow shoppers to pick up video games, movies, television shows. The movies and television shows are available on an Xbox One or anything with a Microsoft Movies & TVs app and anything with Windows 10 installed on it. Music purchased with the gift code included in this Cyber Monday 2015 deal is available on iPhone and Android by downloading the Groove Music app.
Microsoft is offering shoppers one of three games with their Xbox One purchase. Sunset Overdrive launched on the Xbox One in 2014 to praise. It’s an open-world game with an off-color sense of humor. Assassin’s Creed Unity is another open world game. It takes inspiration from the French Revolution. Rare Replay is a collection of titles made by video game developer Rare for dozens of systems. Games available in the bundle include Perfect Dark Zero and Banjo Kazooie. Many of these games are a part of the Xbox One Backwards Compatibility feature that Microsoft rolled out a few weeks ago.
The Microsoft Store offers free shipping on Xbox One consoles. The online retailer doesn’t charge shoppers for returning items that they don’t like either.
Of course, there’s the savings to be had in each of the bundles themselves. Microsoft already includes free games with many of the console bundles it’s released since it began selling the Xbox One in November of 2013. Consoles that don’t have a free game come with some sort of hardware upgrade. The Elite Xbox One Bundle has a 1TB hybrid drive that lets it start up faster than other consoles. It also comes with Microsoft’s Elite Xbox Controller. The and Madden 16 and FIFA 16 bundles come with a copy of the game and a year-long subscription to EA Access, which lets users download popular games developed by EA. The Xbox One + Kinect Bundle includes free family free games and a Kinect sensor so that users can control their television, chat in their games without a headset, place video calls over Skype and use Netflix and more without picking up a controller. That bundle is $349 right now. Microsoft originally sold that bundle for $499.
Again, like all Cyber Monday 2015 deals, this savings will disappear at midnight or while supplies last. Shoppers who miss out on the savings can end up giving away their last big opportunity to save a ton on the Xbox One before the holiday shopping season ends. Microsoft hasn’t said if it plans to bring back the $50 in immediate savings that’s responsible for the $299 Xbox One.
