  • Xbox 360 players who wish to purchase Destiny: The Taken King ($40 USD) or the Collector’s Edition Upgrade ($60 USD) can do so via the in-game prompt on the Director. The upgrades will not be available on the Xbox Marketplace, only the Legendary Edition and the full Collector’s Edition.
  • Some users are reporting that the Golden Chest count was reset on their Moments of Triumph at 2am PDT. We are actively investigating.
  • We are aware of an issue that Crucible rank package display as “Vanguard”. These are, in fact, Crucible packages and will give Crucible rewards.
  • The Suros Arsenal weapons and Vanguard Weapon Pack Items can be found at the Vanguard Quartermaster, located in the Tower Hangar.
  • The Digital Collector’s Edition Upgrade ($20) may not be available for purchase at this time. We are aware of this issue and are actively investigating.

Fix Requires Taken King Error

We are hearing from users on PS4 and Xbox One who cannot play the game. After the cinematic trailer they see an error that states, “Requires Taken King” and they cannot progress.

If you are on the Xbox One, you should go to the store and install every part of the bundle. One user on Reddit said this fixed the problem. Another suggest is to put the on screen selection on Destiny, press the menu button, choose manage game, then Install.

For PS4 owners with this problem, the easiest fix is to Restore Licenses and to Activate your console as the primary PS4.

Destiny: The Taken King Bubble Glitch

On the PS4 and Xbox One users report that when a bubble pops the game crashes and players lose progress. You can see this happen in the video below.

You may be able to fix this Taken King problem by switching your options. One user reports it is linked to, “having weapons of light and another option active at the same time.”, but he is unable to offer the exact combination.

Moments of Triumph Golden Chests Problems

As confirmed above another major Destiny: The Taken King problem is that some users who completed Moments of Triumph early lost progress and see a 0 out of 20 Golden Chests Count. On Reddit a Bungie employee confirms, “We are aware of this issue and currently investigating.”

While there is no fix and Bungie does not include specific instructions, many users are taking screenshots for proof that they completed the tasks.
