Design Differences To Key In On

The iPhone 6s Plus is expected to keep a design that's similar, but not identical, to the iPhone 6 Plus' all-metal form factor. We're hearing that there could be some changes to the dimensions and iPhone 6s rumors have pointed to the use of stronger build materials.

So what does this mean? It means that the iPhone 6 Plus should still be thin, it should keep the Touch ID fingerprint sensor, it should feature a non-removable battery, and it probably won't have a microSD card for expanded storage.

If we're comparing that to the Galaxy Note 4, there are a few things to know right now. The Galaxy Note 4's design is much thicker than the iPhone 6 Plus, 8.5mm vs. 7.1mm. It's a big noticeable difference.

The Galaxy Note 4 features a metal band around the side but for the most part, it's built out of plastic. Some of you aren't going to like that about Samsung's current flagship.

What you might like is that you can take the Galaxy Note 4's battery out and replace it with an extended battery for more juice. Its removable battery also means that you can easily replace the stock battery if needed.

Its microSD card slot means that you can expand its memory. You cannot do that with the iPhone 6 Plus and you probably won't be able to do that with the iPhone 6s Plus either. Apple's not into the whole microSD card thing.

The iPhone 6s Plus is rumored to be coming in 16GB/32GB, 64GB, and 128GB form. You'll want to decide on storage ahead of the iPhone 6s Plus release.

And finally, it's worth keying in on the fingerprint sensors. The Galaxy Note 4 uses a swipe-based sensor that's harder to use and less accurate than Apple's Touch ID. This is important to know because you'll likely become reliant on your next phone's fingerprint sensor.
