The Gears of War 4 release for Xbox One is confirmed and it will be heading to shelves sometime during the holiday season in 2016. That's more than a year away. Still, we're extremely excited about the next installment of Gears of War and we're elated that we won't have to wait until 2017 to get our hands-on it. 

In the weeks leading up to E3 2015, we were crossing our fingers, hoping that The Coalition and Microsoft would announce a true successor to Gears of War 3 and Gears of War: Judgement. And fortunately for us, and a lot of other people, they delivered. 

It's clear that this is going to be a huge release for the Xbox One, the first major Gears of War release for the console, and if you're even a casual fan of the series that has to get you excited. This game will be huge, count on it.
