If you're already on iOS 8.4.1, you can test out the iOS 9 update without any kind of penalty. Here's what we mean. Apple's left an iOS 8.4.1 downgrade loophole open. The loophole will probably be open for a week or two before it closes up. Once it closes up, you'll be stuck on iOS 9 if you decide to make the upgrade. Until that loophole is closed though, you can drop back down to iOS 8.4.1 though nothing older than that. So if you're still rocking iOS 7, you'll want to be extremely careful.
