Like most of Waterfield Designs cases, the City Slicker is a sleeve case that protects the new Nexus 7 in high quality materials. This one brings three layers of protection, an impact resistant plastic covered by neoprene and a padded liner. A flap with snaps covers the opening to protect the case even in rain and adds an extra layer of protection for the screen, if the user slides the tablet in with the screen facing that direction. The distressed leather flap looks great. They make them for the new Nexus 7 ($89) and the larger Nexus 10 ($99) pictured here below. Choose from Black, Chocolate, Grizzly, Nubock, or Peruvian leather. Add a pair of D-rings and a strap to carry it like an over the shoulder bag. They will also stitch a hand strap on it. With all the frills the case costs $121. That's a lot, but people with high-end tastes won't mind the price.

Nice selection! Another option is Treegloo (https://treegloo.com), it’s like a work of art. I got the Walnut frame and it looks really modern with bright colors (I was inspired by the MotoX). It gets so many compliments.

I have the Portenzo Bookcase. It’s made in Missouri with a Maple frame and is beautiful. Will never buy from anybody else.

It’s plywood, not maple….only the top 0.5mm is maple.
You can buy a piece bigger than a door for €20 or ~$25USD.

“While the maple frame does have a unique characteristic to it, I believe it has more to do with the LAYERED design of the wood than anything else. The layered/pressed (similar to plywood) design of the maple frame creates a stronger and more stable product while somewhat resembling the pages of an actual book.”
