Groove Music Gets an Upgrade | ||||||||||||||||||

Microsoft's Groove Music app took over for Xbox Music some time ago, but it's been mainly in placeholder mode. With the Windows 10 Anniversary Update, Microsoft has enhanced the app in major ways. Groovoe Music now connects directly with Cortana, allowing users to play a song, artist or album by asking the personal assisstant to do so. She can respond to these musical requests while a device is locked. Groove Music also picks up a new Your Groove area. The app analyzies what Groove Music Pass users are playing and what everyone else has in their OneDrive music collection to give them themed playlists. Groove Music also has a huge swath of playlists in its store now. | ||||||||||||||||||
