OLPC Announces 2nd Generation Device with 2 Touch Screens

This is certainly interesting given the recent news that OLPC and Microsoft have teamed up. Laptop Magazine is reporting that OLPC is now talking a bit about the second generation of the XO Laptop. In a foldable e-book form factor it will contain two touch screens, be half the size of the previous model, employ dual indoor and outdoor displays. From what I’m seeing from the pictures and the video on the site, the keyboard looks to be incorporated into the touchscreen. The Give 1 Get 1 program will also kick off again in August (just in time for the Christmas feel good season) but don’t look for this until 2010.
