AT&T will launch a pink Nokia Lumia 900 on July 15th.

The carrier has announced that it will start offering another variant of the Nokia Lumia 900 Windows Phone starting on July 15th. The new Lumia 900 won’t be a new phone but instead, it will come coated in pink.

AT&T’s pink Nokia Lumia 900 is going to be the same exact Windows Phone 7.5 device that the carrier launched exclusively earlier this year.

That means it will have the same 4.3-inch WVGA ClearBlack display, a 1.4GHz single-core processor, an 8MP camera and access to AT&T’s 4G LTE high speed data network.

The pink Lumia 900 will hit AT&T on July 15th.

It also will be the same device that Microsoft doesn’t outfit with the upcoming Windows Phone 8 update.

Microsoft has announced that current Windows Phone devices will not be getting the full-fledged upgrade to its upcoming Windows Phone 8 software.

Instead, some devices will instead see a stripped down update called Windows Phone 7.8. That update will be coming to select devices but we assume that the Nokia Lumia 900 will be getting that software considering its still the flagship Windows Phone here in the U.S.

Windows Phone 7.8 will bring three main features of Windows Phone 8:

  • A new start screen that will look like the Windows Phone 8 start screen.
  • Windows Phone 7.8 will bring tile customization with support for three tile sizes.
  • The update will be delivered directly and won’t be rolled out by individual carriers.

So, before splurging on the pink Lumia 900, keep that in mind.

The new color will be available starting July 15th both online and in physical AT&T retail locations.
