Tiny Wings 2 Arrives July 12th on iPhone (Video)

Tiny Wings is one of the most addictive games available for the iPhone, and it looks like we better get ready to pause our productivity on Thursday July 12th when Tiny Wings 2 launches.

A new teaser trailer for Tiny Wings 2 hit the web over the weekend, and while it shows no new gameplay it is more than enough to get us excited for a simple and addictive gaming experience.

Tiny Wings is one of our favorite iPhone games, and an absolute bargain at 99 cents. I would be surprised if Tiny Wings 2 didn’t offer the same fun gameplay at a similar bargain price.

Players are tasked with helping a small bird cross island after island before the sun sets. The catch is the bird has tiny wings and cannot fly. Instead of flying, players must time dives to slide and jump from hill to hill and island to island.

Gameplay is simple, requiring only one handed operation to tap and hold through level after hilly level.

Tiny Wings was the first game I bought when I first purchased an iPad, and it’s one I still play today. Even without an iPad specific version, the original works well on the large display.

Hopefully Tiny Wings 2 comes with Retina Display support for the new iPad and some fun surprises to mix up gameplay.
