Though leaks had detailed most of the hardware specifications for the LG G2, LG’s next flagship smartphone, users hadn’t known when they could expect the device in the United States. Until now.

While talking with the Kyunghyang Shinmun news outlet, LG executives detailed their plans for  LG G2 release in most of the world.

According to the executives, the device will launch in South Korea in August. North American users will be able to purchase the G2 in September, while European users will see the device come to that continent in October. That’s around the same time that LG will roll out the G2 worldwide.

Allegedly, the LG G2 will launch in the United States on Verizon, America’s largest wireless carrier. Details on what other carriers the device will be available on are still unclear. Recent reports had pegged the LG G2 for launch on Sprint.

The LG G2 will likely include a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 processor an upgrade to the Snapgradon 600 processor that is inside that HTC One and the Samsung Galaxy S4. If the G2 does offer the processor, it would once again set a new bar for high-end Android devices.

Pictures and video of the LG G2 show that the device may use a fingerprint scanner for added security. The device itself takes its design inspiration from the Optimus G and the LG Nexus 4. LG has also introduced dual speakers on the LG G2, on the bottom of the device.

LG has forgone all physical buttons on the face of the LG G2. Instead, the device will render Back, Home and Menu keys on its screen just as the Nexus 4 does today.
