Published

on

The Verizon HTC One release date is finally here, and the all metal aluminum HTC One is available online and in Verizon stores for $199 on a two-year contract.

Verizon and HTC announced the HTC One in June, but it took several months for the Verizon HTC One with 4G LTE and Android 4.2.2 to arrive on the carrier.

This HTC One is essentially the same as the HTC One sold by AT&T, Sprint and T-Mobile, but it does run a newer version of Android and it connects to Verizon’s larger 4G LTE network.

The Verizon HTC One release date finally arrives.

Verizon is selling the HTC One for $199 on a two-year contract and $599 off contract, which is what users will need to pay to keep their unlimited data on Verizon. Verizon is offering an Accessory Bundle including an HTC One OtterBox Defender case, screen protectors and a wall charger for an additional $70.

The Verizon HTC One lands months after the Samsung Galaxy S4 and HTC One arrived on other carriers, but it is still a popular option thanks to a metal design and features like a built-in IR blaster that can control a TV and home theater from the phone.

Other standout features include HTC BoomSound. The two front-facing speakers deliver a loud and crisp sound that other phones struggle to compete with.

On the software side, the Verizon HTC One also includes BlinkFeed. HTC BlinkFeed is HTC’s new home screen for Android that comes with Sense 5. BlinkFeed is a customizable set of tiles that refresh with news, updates from Facebook, Twitter and more to bring interesting news and updates to the HTC One home page.

Shoppers that pick up the Verizon HTC One will also get the UltraPixel camera and HTC Zoe, which combine to deliver good low-light photos and a good photo experience. The HTC Zoe feature takes a collection of stills and a short video with one push of the shutter to make sure users never miss a moment. From the Zoe users can remove unwanted people, show movement and more. The HTC One camera also allows users to record in slow motion.

The HTC Sense 5 software also lets users quickly create a video that showcases an event, making it easy to share a collection of videos and photos set to music. These HTC One shares look great, and take seconds to make.

Verizon stores should have the HTC One in stock, and it is on sale at Verizon Wireless online. It shouldn’t be too long before we see more Verizon HTC One deals.
