Xbox One Titanfall Bundle Announced as Microsoft Cuts Xbox One Price

Published

The Xbox One Titanfall bundle arrives on March 11th with a free copy of Titanfall included and Microsoft drops the price of the Xbox One in the UK by $50, but makes no announcement about a U.S. Xbox One price drop.

Titanfall arrives on the Xbox One on March 11th, which is when the special Xbox One Titanfall bundle arrives on store shelves with a digital copy of Titanfall included at no extra charge. This is essentially a $60 Xbox One price cut for shoppers that need an Xbox One and plan to play Titanfall.

The Xbox One Titanfall bundle includes a free copy of the game, but does not include a Titanfall edition Xbox One or the special edition Xbox One Titanfall controller.

Shoppers can find the Xbox One Titanfall bundle at select retailers and should plan on acting fast to get the special deal as Microsoft only offers a limited stock. The Xbox One Titanfall bundle includes a digital download code for TitanFall, so gamers will need to download the game before playing. This will add a little time to the process, but it is worth it for getting Titanfall free.

The Xbox One supports digital and disk based games. A digital game, like this copy of Titanfall, allows gamers to play without switching discs. For gamers that enjoy switching between multiple games in one sitting this is a big plus, though it means no reselling the game. Users looking for a new Xbox One, but who don’t plan to play Titanfall can likely sell the Titanfall download code before using it to cut the price of the Xbox One by $50 to $60.

For now the Xbox One Titanfall bundle is available to pre-order on the Microsoft Store. We may also see it arrive on Best Buy, Amazon or at Gamestop though these additional retailers are not confirmed yet.

In addition to announcing the Xbox One Titanfall bundle, Microsoft announced a $50 Xbox One price drop in the UK. This brings the Xbox One price down to £399.99 from £429.99 just three months after release. Xbox UK Marketing Director Harvey Eagle tells Gamespot that this Xbox One price cut is in the plans for other countries and areas at this time.

U.S. gamers shouldn’t complain too much as the exchange rate still works out to a much more expensive Xbox One in the UK, even after the price cut.

Users can buy Titanfall on the Xbox One store for $59.99 or pre-order from a variety of locations that sell Xbox Games.
