Sena Heritage UltraSlim iPhone 6 Case Review

Cases are one of the most popular accessories for the iPhone 6, but a similar accessory that doesn’t get much love is the sleeve. I checked out one of the classiest iPhone 6 sleeves I could find, called the Heritage UltraSlim from Sena.

A sleeve is a type of case that provides all-around protection for your iPhone except for an opening at the top where you slide your iPhone in and out, and even then, the openings can overlap the top of the device, still allowing some sort of protection from all angles.

While iPhone 6 sleeves are a bit harder to come by as far as selection goes, they’re a great alternative accessory that still protects your device, but without the need to constantly have a case on. Not everyone likes cases, as they can add bulk and weight to an otherwise thin and lightweight device. With a sleeve, you still get the protection that a case can provide, but whenever you actually want to use your iPhone, you can quickly take it out of the sleeve and use it without having the bulkiness of a case.

Of course, most accidental drops come from actually using your iPhone, so a sleeve might not be the best option for the ultimate protection, but for those who usually go caseless and want some kind of added protection, a sleeve can be a good option.

The Sena Heritage UltraSlim is an iPhone 6 sleeve made out of genuine leather that goes really well with business attire or any other formal activity, so it blends in nicely for work or even a wedding.

Of course, it’s not just for formal events, but it works out well for that, seeing as you won’t look goofy dressed up in a suit or a nice dress only to pull out your iPhone 6 with a brightly-colored case attached to it. The Heritage UltraSlim is a good-looking iPhone sleeve and that’s really all that needs to be said about its looks.

The inside of the sleeve consists of a soft microfiber lining that protects your iPhone 6 from any scratches when you take it out of the sleeve or put it back in.

The nice feature about the Heritage UltraSlim is that it doesn’t add a considerable amount of thickness to the iPhone 6, allowing you to still comfortably fit it in a pocket without even realizing that the device is in a sleeve in the first place.

Since the sleeve is made out of genuine leather, it does need a few days to stretch out and get used to the shape of your iPhone 6, which means the first couple days of using it makes it a bit of a tight fit, but I  found after a week or so the sleeve starts to give a little bit and it’s a lot easier to slide in a out without it being so loose that it’ll accidentally fall out on its own.

The Heritage UltraSlim isn’t waterproof by any means, but pretty much all sleeve don’t come with that kind of protection. If your looking for military-grade protection, you won’t find it on the Sena Heritage UltraSlim, but what you will find is a great-looking accessory to go along with your great-looking iPhone 6 that also adds that extra protection just in case of any accidental spills.

The sleeve is available for sale on Sena’s website and is priced at $39 for the iPhone 6 and the iPhone 6 Plus. It comes in Cognac, Black, and Sage color options, while the iPhone 6 Plus sleeve has a specialty Denim color option. You can even get a sleeve custom engraved with your initials for $8 more for that special personalized touch.
