iPad Pro Rumors Continue to Swirl Thanks to Leaked Case

iPad Pro rumors have been gaining steam over the last few weeks, but we have yet to see any case leaks, until now.

French site nowhereelse.fr leaked a photo of what appears to be a fairly basic iPad Pro case, and it gives us a peek at what the new tablet could be like.

The photo doesn’t give us any sort of size reference, but based on how small the camera hole and other button cut-outs look, it’s safe to say that this case could easily fit an iPad with a 12-inch or 13-inch display.

What’s perhaps more interesting is that the case has what looks to be two speaker cut-outs on the bottom and two on the top, suggesting that the tablet will come with stereo sound capabilities. There’s also the obvious camera cut-out and volume buttons up in the top-right corner of the photo, but the cut-out on the left side halfway between the case is a little odd. Perhaps that will be a connector for external accessories, like a keyboard, but at this point, that’s a complete mystery. It could also just be where the SIM tray goes.

Of course, we’d take this photo with a huge grain of salt, as many case manufacturers come up with case designs solely based on rumors, which means that this could be nothing more than just a concept iPad Pro case for a device that doesn’t even exist at all.

The iPad Pro is one device that many people have been looking forward to, but Apple has yet to make it official. Rumors have been floating around for quite a while, but we’ve heard a few rumors just recently, suggesting that the tablet is somewhat close to an official launch.

Past rumors have suggested that the iPad Pro will come with a 12.9-inch display and will measure in at around 7mm, which is crazy thin for a tablet of that size.

Furthermore, the new tablet is rumored to come with stereo speakers, thanks to the addition of two more speakers at the top of the device rather than just at the bottom, allowing for better sound quality.

iPad Pro

If the iPad Pro does indeed see the light of day, it will most likely be aimed at professionals, such as photographers, designers, architects, etc. Of course, the iPad is already a useful device in these professions, but a version with a larger screen and faster internals could be an even better device for such users.

Other than the rumored release timeline, we don’t know much about this fabled iPad Pro. We heard late last year that the device would have a Retina display, but would come with an ever higher resolution than the current resolution found on today’s iPad’s, making the iPad Pro one of the highest resolution displays on the market if it releases.

It’s also rumored that the iPad Pro could get a stylus as an accessory option, according to KGI Securities analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, who has been accurate with many Apple rumors in the past.

Kuo says that “given that it’s more precise than a person’s fingers, a stylus can be more convenient to use than the combination of keyboard and mouse in some cases. Therefore, we believe Apple’s stylus will improve the user experience of 12.9-inch iPad.”
