Its been several years since the release of Naughty Dog’s Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception and naturally, fans of the series of anxious for the follow-up. That follow-up will be Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End, a game that once again puts gamers into the shoes of Nathan Drake. With new details emerging, we want to take a look at what you need to know, right now, about the highly anticipated Uncharted 4 release.

In 2011, Naughty Dog released its third game in the Uncharted series. Uncharted 3 arrived for the PlayStation 3 and it immediately received widespread acclaim for its graphics, gameplay and story. Since then, we’ve seen the release of the PlayStation 4 and Naughty Dog’s The Last of Us. Both have helped to drive anticipation for an Uncharted 4 release.

Uncharted 4: A Thief’s End was first revealed in the fall of 2013. Since then, we’ve seen the series writer and director leave the company and the minds behind The Last of Us join the project. We’ve also seen gameplay teased and a number of new Uncharted 4 release details emerge, some good and some bad.

The official Uncharted 4 release date remains unconfirmed though we’re finally starting to nail down a precise window for Naughty Dog’s next big edition to the world of Uncharted.
