The Uncharted 4 release date was originally confirmed for 2015 though it has since been delayed until sometime next year.

Writing on the Official PlayStation Blog, Neil Druckmann confirmed that fans of the series won't see the game until 2016. At the time, he claimed that the title was more "ambitious than we originally envisioned" as the reason why the team at Naughty Dog made the decision to push the release date.

Right now, the only confirmed specifics that we have to go on is a Spring 2016 release. The first day of Spring in 2016 is March 20th. While nothing is set in stone, we should see the developer confirm a firm release date well before the start of the new year.

With E3 2015 just a few short weeks away we, and many others, are hopeful that the company releases new Uncharted 4 details to hold us over until we get much closer to the game's highly anticipated release.

The company is also expected to do monthly live streams after E3 to give fans a glimpse at the inner workings of one of the most popular video game studios in the world. It's not clear yet if Uncharted 4 will be a part of those streams.
