Fallout 4 Pip Boy Edition Release Problems Plague Buyers

If you pre-ordered the Fallout 4 Pip Boy Edition now would be a good time to check your order because some buyers are running into problems with their shipment ahead of tonight’s Fallout 4 release date for Xbox One, PS4 and PC.

The Fallout 4 Pip Boy Edition went on sale at the same time as the regular version of the game. But unlike the regular version of Fallout 4, the Pip Boy Edition sold out within days as buyers scrambled to acquire Bethesda’s real-life Pip Boy.

There is no way to pre-load the Fallout 4 Pip Boy Edition which means that buyers must wait until November 10th to use the Pip Boy app and the accessory with Bethesda’s latest installment in the Fallout series.

And thanks to some problems at retailers, it looks like some Fallout 4 Pip Boy Edition buyers might have to wait a little longer than that.

Some Fallout 4 Pip Boy Edition buyers are reporting issues with their shipment. A number of buyers are saying that their orders have been delayed and others are saying that their Fallout 4 Pip Boy Edition order has been cancelled.

These Fallout 4 Pip Boy Edition release date problems are plaguing buyers at Amazon, Best Buy, GameStop, and Walmart.

It’s not clear why some of these Fallout 4 Pip Boy Edition orders have been changed though some customers report that it’s because they didn’t update their credit card information. Those of you that haven’t seen your credit card charged just yet should remain patient. There’s still time and many shipments may not start moving out until tonight or tomorrow morning. Some Fallout 4 Pip Boy Edition buyers claim that orders have already started arriving on doorsteps.

Fallout 4 is set to go on sale in just a few hours in the United States. Fallout 4 and the Pip Boy Edition will go on sale starting at 12:01AM Eastern, 9:01PM Pacific.

The Fallout 4 Pip Boy Edition is sold out in the United States though some retailers could offer additional stock in the days ahead.

If you order the digital version of Fallout 4, you can pre-load it on your Xbox One, PS4 or PC ahead of its release date. If you pre-load, you can play right when the clock strikes midnight at 12:01AM Eastern. You won't be able to play before then. If you ordered the physical version of the game, you'll need to install it with the disc that comes inside. If you ordered the physical version of Fallout 4 for PC, you'll need to use the disc and Steam to activate and install the game. There is no pre-load for the physical version of Fallout 4.  There's also a day one patch that you'll need to download. This patch will fix some of the initial problems Bethesda's engineers discovered during testing. So what're we getting at? If you plan to pre-load or if you plan to install right after you get the game in your hands, you'll want to set aside some time on November 9th or November 10th (or whenever you install) to ensure that the download and installation process goes smoothly.  You might need to delete files, transfer a game to an external hard drive, or maybe even deal with a problem. This on top of the time it will take to download and install the game on your Xbox One, PC or PlayStation 4.  Aside an hour or so of quiet time so that you can attend to all of this without any distractions.
