Microsoft, maker of the Xbox One entertainment console, is leaving nothing to chance this holiday season. Nearly a month after it rode the release of Halo 5: Guardians to the top of the United States console sales charts, the company is back with even more savings. For Black Friday 2015, Microsoft has the ultimate deal: a massive Xbox One price cut that’ll only be available for a limited time.

The company announced the Xbox One price cut this morning in a post on its Xbox Wire news blog. Back Friday is the biggest shopping day of the year, but no one expected another price cut on the console. In 2013 the Xbox One sold for $499 with a Kinect sensor. Last year, the lowest price on the Xbox One was $349. This new Xbox One price cut brings the price of picking up an Xbox One to $299, the lowest that it’s ever been – even for a used system.

The Xbox One is Microsoft’s media and gaming set-top box. It supports live television, streaming apps and the latest high-profile titles from developers like Ubisoft and Activision.

Microsoft says that its slashing the price of many of its Xbox One bundles by $50. 12 bundles in all, the savings is valid on the Xbox One Limited Edition Halo 5: Guardians Bundle, Xbox One Elite Bundle, Xbox One 1TB Holiday Bundle, Xbox One Gears of War: Ultimate Edition Bundle, Xbox One Fallout 4 Bundle, Xbox One The Lego Movie Videogame Bundle, Xbox One Rise of the Tomb Raider Bundle, Xbox One FIFA 16 1TB Bundle, Xbox One Special Edition Gears of War Bundle, Xbox One with Kinect Bundle, Xbox One Limited Edition Forza Motorsport 6 Console and the Xbox One Madden NFL 16 Bundle. Every console included in this Xbox One price cut comes with a free digital download of at least one title. Some of them come with two games or access to the EA Access subscription download service.

The savings will begin on Black Friday 2015. That’s Thursday, November 26th here in the United States. The savings will still be available until Cyber Monday on November 30th. Black Friday is usually when retail stores offers the best discounts of the entire year. Cyber Monday puts the focus on online retailers looking to kick off their holiday shopping season.

This Xbox One price cut announcement certainly explains why we’ve seen some monster Black Friday 2015 deals on the Xbox One from some retailers. Target is planning to sell the console at $299 and give users a $60 gift card that they can redeem for other merchandise after they make their purchase. Microsoft itself is offering first-time Xbox Live subscribers a month-long subscription to the gaming service for just $1. Every month after the $1 offer it’s $9.99. Shoppers can purchase an entire year of Xbox Live for $60. Earlier today it kicked off a massive Black Friday 2015 video games sale for the Xbox One, Xbox 360, Windows and Windows Phone. Some of the digital games included in the sale are 60% off their regular price from the Xbox Store.

It was already pretty clear that previous chances in the cost of the Xbox One has resulted in a pricing war. Earlier this year, Sony cut the price of its PS4 video game console, months after Microsoft had lowered the cost of an Xbox One with 500GB of storage to $349. The PS4 with a video game sells for $349 this holiday season too. It’s unclear whether Sony will try to match this latest pricing change.

Anyone even considering picking up a console should consider taking advantage of this Xbox One price cut next week. New buyers are getting a huge deal, compared to the price of the PS4 and Nintendo’s Wii U console.
