When Microsoft launched the original Surface tablets, its dream was to reinvigorate the stagnant designs of its partners. It’s fair to say that the amount of Microsoft Surface 2016 Black Friday Deals for the Surface Book and Surface Pro 4 speak to how successful the company’s strategy was.
If you want a notebook that can become a tablet or a tablet with the heart of a notebook, there’s nothing better than a Surface Book or a Surface Pro 4. The only thing that’s managed to temper Microsoft’s success is the price they ask for each. Regularly, the Surface Book is $1499 without a graphics card. The Surface Pro 4 is much cheaper at $899, but it doesn’t come with the Type Cover that users need to get the complete Surface experience.
The 2016 Black Friday deals that we know about so far heavily slash the cost of adopting either the Surface Book or the Surface Pro 4 as your next PC. Some include a free Type Cover for the Surface Pro 4. Others slash the cost of the Surface Pro 4 itself so that users have more cash on hand to purchase the accessories that they want and need.
Microsoft’s 2016 Black Friday deals will arrive online on November 23rd at 9PM Pacific Standard Time online. Its retail stores will begin offering the sales on November 24th.

One of Microsoft’s most attractive 2016 Black Friday deals is on a new Surface Pro 4 and Type Cover bundle. Priced at $999, you don’t need anything else to get started with the Surface besides this bundle. That being said, the company probably wouldn’t mind if you splurged on a dock or other accessories.
This bundle packs the Surface Pro 4 with Intel Core i5 processor and 256GB of storage. Shoppers get to choose whatever color Surface Type Cover they want, it seems. In total, those taking advantage of this Surface Pro 4 deal are saving $429.
Microsoft Surface 2016 Black Friday Deals: Surface Book for $1,499 at the Microsoft Store

Microsoft Surface 2016 Black Friday Deals: Surface Pro 4 + Cover for $599 at Best Buy
Retailer Best Buy seems keen to put Microsoft’s own 2016 Black Friday deals on Surface to shame. Featured in its ad is the best Surface Pro 4 deal we’ve seen all year – or probably ever will.
The company is bundling the Surface Pro 4 and a Surface Signature Type Cover. The Type Cover is made of Alcantara, the soft material now used on all Surface desktop keyboards. The Surface Pro 4 included in this bundle is the model with Intel Core M3 processor.
Best Buy plans to sell this Surface Pro 4 bundle for just $599. Separately, the Surface Pro 4 with M3 processor is $899. That Type Cover sells for $159.99. As door buster savings, expect this 2016 Black Friday deal to go pretty quickly.
Best Buy plans to open stores November 24th at 5PM.
Microsoft Surface 2016 Black Friday Deals: Surface Pro 4 for $799 at Staples
Staples’ deal on the Surface Pro 4 isn’t as attractive as Best Buy’s, but it’s still solid. There the Surface Pro 4 with Intel Core i5 processor and 128GB of storage will sell for $799. That’s $200 off how much it would cost normally.
It’s not bundling a Surface Type Cover with the purchase, but it’s not a door buster deal that’ll likely sell out in just minutes.
Staples stores open on Friday, November 25th at 6AM.
You’ve likely noticed that the bulk of these deals cover only the Surface Pro 4 and Surface Book. That’s because each has been out for a year, but are still being made. Microsoft only slightly upgraded the Surface Book this year, with a performance base.
The Surface 3 is no longer in production, which is why its missing from the savings bonanza. The Surface Studio only debuted in late October. Good luck getting your hands on a Surface Book or Surface Pro 4 on sale this holiday season.
