We don't know the exact NBA 2K17 release date yet, and game details are still coming together, but it's definitely happening.

In October a NBA.com writer shared a photo of motion capture for NBA 2K17 taking place which was later shared by NBA TV. In short, this is the real deal with motion capture of Rick Fox who played for the Lakers in 2004.
