Wilson X Connected Football: Turn Your Backyard Into Any Given Sunday

A new Wilson X Connected Football connects to your smartphone to bring the game to you when you go to the backyard with a video game experience in real life.

Pair the Bluetooth enabled football to your smartphone and strap your phone to your wrist to play a virtual game of football in your backyard with blitzes, sending a receiver deep.

Players can also track how good your throw it thanks to sensors inside that track speed, spiral efficiency and catch/drop on your smartphone.

You can use the Bluetooth connected football to check your pass accuracy as you train or you can play with friends. If you choose to use the simulation option the app will tell you to snap the ball and it will count down to a rush so you feel the pressure to throw and connect to a friend, similar to a real game, even though you only have a few people to play with.

Sensors know how far you threw the ball, so even if you have a small backyard to play in you can still travel the whole football field virtually using the app that tracks your progress towards a touchdown.

Wit the gameplay modes users can choose from a simulated football game with GameDay or go for a score with Red Zone. There is also an Elimination game mode.

There is no need to charge the Wilson X Connected Football since the battery lasts two years. The company told us that the football will wear out before the battery does.

Wilson is the name in football, providing every NFL football in use and boasting the honor of being the ball that crossed the goal line for every NFL touchdown.

The Wilson X Connected Football with Bluetooth arrives in Fall 2016, with no price announced yet. The Wilson X Connected Basketball is $199.
