Apple's made some useful improvements to Apple News in iOS 16.5. If you're a sports fan, and you're an avid Apple News user, there's incentive to move your iPhone to the latest software. iOS 16.5 includes a new Sports tab for Apple News which will give you easy access to stories about your favorite teams and leagues, scores, standings, and more. 16.1 version is messing with my (encrypt. me) VPN app and my banking app. I have to turn the VPN app off to use my banking app.

Since updating to 16.3.1, my phone keeps freezing/crashing and restarting. Why is this happening??

Too many sites have new emojis as a main reason to upgrade (why?). I was going to blow 16.4 off since emojis are not important until I found much more important reasons that many sites ignore but were covered here.
