As we’ve pushed deeper into the year, we’ve finally started to see carrier smartphone lineups start to fill out. That is to say that the beginning of the year was extremely slow but now, consumers have a number of solid choices to pick from. For some people, picking out a new AT&T smartphone this month is going to be an easy task. You’ve done your homework and you know, heading into the store, which devices you’ll be taking a look at. For others, it’s nowhere near that easy.
Every day we get asked questions about smartphones. About which device is best. About the five devices we like the best on carriers like AT&T. These devices represent the devices that we’d recommend to friends and family. With WWDC 2014 now over and done with, it's pretty clear that the iPhone 6 release will land some time in the fall. What this means is that the iPhone 5s will remain Apple's top option for the month of July and for the foreseeable future. Not that there is anything wrong with that.
While the price of the iPhone 5s hasn't seen a significant drop since it was released back in September, it's still a device that lives up to its premium price point.
One thing to note. Apple may not be offering a discount on the iPhone 5s but we're starting to see retailers slash the price of the iPhone 5s. Recently, Walmart permanently chopped the price of the iPhone 5s and several other well known retailers have offered deals.
Its industrial design, Retina Display, 8MP iSight camera, 64-bit processor, and iOS 7 software should help to put the iPhone 5s near the top of shoppers lists during the month of July and beyond.
