Those looking for a brand new smartphone on AT&T during the month of March won’t find the Samsung Galaxy S5 but what they will find is a lineup that boasts some high quality smartphones including Apple’s iPhone 5s, Google’s Nexus 5, and of course, the Samsung Galaxy Note 3.
The new year has gotten off to a pretty slow start for carriers like AT&T. In years past, the first couple of months were chock full of smartphone releases. However, manufacturers have settled into a much slower pace which means that smartphone lineups in the early goings are now dominated by smartphones from the year before.
In 2014’s case, it’s not such a bad thing. The smartphones that arrived in 2013 were some of the best smartphones ever made and they remain top options in the new year.
AT&T, like other major carriers, is home to most of the big names in the smartphone world. Devices like the Samsung Galaxy S4, HTC One and iPhone 5c make their home on the nation’s second largest 4G LTE carrier. And while this is certainly a good thing, it can make things difficult for those that aren’t in tune with the smartphone world.
There are a ton of options for consumers to choose from and for many, this makes picking a brand new device and extremely daunting task. While we can’t decide for you, we can help point consumers looking for an AT&T smartphone in the right direction.
Every month we offer our opinion on the first best smartphones for all four major U.S. carriers. We’ve already taken a look at the best that Verizon has to offer and now, it’s time to take a look at Ma Bell’s lineup.
When deciding on the smartphones that make this list, we take a number of things into consideration including hardware, software, age, and price. The devices that make the final cut are the devices that we consider to be the best all-around devices on a given network.
That said, for those who are in the hunt right now, we present the devices we consider to be the five best AT&T smartphones for the month of March, 2014.
The iPhone 5s remains on our list of top AT&T smartphones and it likely will remain here until Apple comes out with something newer. That something is currently called the iPhone 6 and it's not slated to arrive until the summer or sometime this fall.
For now, the iPhone 5s remains the best smartphone in Apple's arsenal and one of the best all-around smartphones found on AT&T's 4G LTE network.
From its design, to its display, to its processor, software and camera, this is a phone that certainly should be on any smartphone shopping list in March.
