If you haven't done so already, now would be a great time to download the Fallout 4 Pip Boy application on your phone.

If you're not planning to put the Pip Boy on a shelf or in a glass case, you might be planning to put it on your wrist to use while you play. The Pip Boy accessory doesn't feature a touch screen of its own. You need to insert a phone, and use an app, to use it properly. 

The Pip Boy app for iOS and Android allows you to interact with Fallout 4 and your character, even when you're away from the console. You can use the app without the Pip Boy but the accessory is an obvious bonus. 

Get familiar with the app now so that you're ready when your game finally finishes up the installation process.
