Don't Wait If You're Hoping for a Cheaper iPhone 15 Pro

If you're unhappy with the iPhone 14 Pro or iPhone 14 Pro Max's price point, you may not want to wait for the iPhone 15 Pro or iPhone 15 Pro Max.

A leak from micro-blogging site Weibo claims both iPhone 15 Pro models could see their price jump up. The blog doesn't specify how much of a jump we could see.

Wedbush analyst Dan Ives also thinks there will be a price jump. Ives accurately predicted the iPhone 14's price jump in international markets so there's probably something here.

Ives believes the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max models will be priced at $1099 and $1199, respectively.

Bloomberg also says Apple is "considering" raising the price of the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max, this despite a projected decline in the overall smartphone market.

Analyst Tim Long, from British bank Barclays, says that based on chatter from the supply chain, the iPhone 15 Pro could be up to $100 more expensive than the iPhone 14 Pro while the iPhone 15 Pro Max could be $100 to $200 more expensive than the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Digitimes says it's also hearing the iPhone 15 Pro and iPhone 15 Pro Max will see their price increase by $100-200.

On the other hand, TrendForce predicts that only the iPhone 15 Pro Max will see its price jump up. They believe the iPhone 15 Pro will stay at $999.

If you've had your sights set on an iPhone 15 Pro or iPhone 15 Pro Max, but don't want to spend a ton of cash, you may want to consider another device.

It makes sense to me to buy a new iPhone only if you have a much older version, like a 10 or 11 iPhone. Or you want to switch from Android. In other cases, it’s just a waste of money. Another case: there are people who are simply obsessed with buying newer iPhones each year. And there is no point in convincing them that it doesn’t make any sense.
At the office in Kontorshotell Stockholm, we watched the presentation and personally, I was really disappointed with it. Still, I would not switch to Android.
