The Moto X is one of the best Android smartphones of the year. With its smart software, solid hardware, affordable price and its design customization option, it's no wonder why this phone is up there with the best smartphone options on the market. It will remain one of the best smartphone options for the foreseeable future.

We haven't seen any rumors suggest that a Moto X 2 is imminent but we'd be shocked if Motorola didn't continue the Moto X line in 2014. Not with the device selling like hotcakes and not with the impressive strides this phone has taken. It's currently one of the only phones with Android 4.4 KitKat.

With the pipeline from the previous leadership out of the way, the new Motorola should put forth something incredible efforts next year and consumers should be excited about the what's next.
