After looking at these Black Friday iPad deals, it’s clear that anyone looking to buy an iPad or give one as a gift should plan on shopping on Black Friday 2014 or Thanksgiving Day. Target and Best Buy Black Friday ads show deals offering $75 to $140 off the newest iPads and big savings on older models as well.

Here’s a look at the 2014 Black Friday iPad deals we know about already, what you should know to save on the iPad this year.

Apple announced the iPad Air 2 and iPad mini 3 in October and iPad Black Friday deals are offering $75 to $80 off the new iPad mini 3 and up to $140 off the iPad Air 2. The biggest discounts come as a gift card, but you can also find straight up discounts that are more appealing to some shoppers.

The iPad Black Friday deals are incredible so far, and we don’t know Walmart’s offers.

Here’s an early look at the incredible Black Friday deals appearing in the Target and Best Buy Black Friday ads, and that we expect to see in the Walmart Black Friday 2014 ad.

You’ll need to compare the money you’ll save on taxes paid and the amount of time you need to wait in line for your Black Friday iPad deals.

Last year Black Friday was the best time to buy an iPad or iPad mini. The savings on Cyber Monday are close and scattered sales appear throughout December, but if you are giving an iPad as a gift, most shoppers should plan on buying on Black Friday 2014 or Thanksgiving Day.

iPad Air 2 Black Friday Deals

The two main iPad Air 2 Black Friday deals are from Target and Best Buy. Both start on Thanksgiving and we expect to see both available online.

The Target iPad Air 2 Black Friday deal is for regular price, with a $140 gift card for a future purchase. This is available on all colors and sizes. You’ll still need to pay full price at checkout, but this is $40 more off than we’ve seen at any other store.

The Best Buy Black Friday 2014 ad shows $100 off the iPad Air 2 in all colors and sizes. This is not a gift card deal, so you only need $399 plus tax at the register. This discount is one some shoppers prefer.

We predict that Apple will offer a $75 gift card as part of the overall Apple Black Friday 2014 ad.

iPad Mini 3 Black Friday Deals

The iPad mini 3 is $324 at Best Buy on Black Friday. This is $75 off the retail price of the new tablet and the deal is valid on the 64GB and 128GB models for $424 and $524 respectively. This is good on all colors. The ad says all iPad mini 3, so this should include LTE models.

Target wins out here with $100 off the iPad mini 3 Black Friday deals, including other colors and sizes. This is a gift card though, instead of a straight up cash discount like Best Buy.

Expect to see Apple offer around $50 in gift card savings with the iPad mini 3.

iPad Black Friday Deals

Best Buy plans to offer an early iPad Black Friday deal on November 20th, with an unknown amount off the iPad Air for three days. There are no other iPad Air, iPad 4, iPad 3 or iPad 2 deals listed, but it is something we might see as Black Friday approaches.

Target offers $100 off the price of any iPad Air with a gift card. The deal is valid on multiple sizes and colors. It’s not clear exactly what Apple will offer on the older iPad Air, but $50 to $75 in gift cards is within reason.

Best Buy iPad Black Friday deals offer cash of instead of gift cards.

iPad Mini Black Friday Deals

The cheapest option will be to look for iPad mini Black Friday deals on the original iPad mini without a Retina Display. The retail price of this iPad is $249, and we’ve already seen it for $199 through Walmart, which was a good deal — even if they inflated the savings.

The Target iPad mini Black Friday deals include;
