Earlier this year, Apple launched its Beta Software Program, a program that allows the general public to help test iOS updates, for free, ahead of their release dates. Most assumed that Apple’s next big iOS release would include a public iOS beta. At WWDC, Apple delivered.
At WWDC in June, Apple confirmed an iOS 9 release for all iPhones, iPads, and iPod touches running iOS 8. That means the iPad 2 and iPhone 4s will both be getting the bump to iOS 9 when it arrives this fall. The iOS 9 release date still isn’t known but that doesn’t mean that we don’t already have access to the update and its features.

Today, after a few days of silence, the company finally delivered on its promise to those who signed up for the public iOS 9 beta.
