The new PS4 3.50 update is out today with an impressive set of new PlayStation 4 features that will change how you play your PS4 and literally where you play it.
After months of testing there is a new PS4 3.50 update available today that upgrades the system software. We’ll walk you through the most impressive new features like Remote Play and other exciting options as well as walk through what you need to know about this update.
The PlayStation 4 3.50 update, code names Musashi, is available today in the U.S. and in other regions with a range of important upgrades.

Here’s a look at what’s new in the PS4 3.50 update.
Sony announced the PS4 3.50 release date on the Sony Blog and this morning we confirmed that the update is available for our PS4. This is a relatively small PlayStation update in size, but it packs in a lot of very interesting and long requested features.
We’ve asked for these options and features for a while and in some regards the PS4 3.50 update finally delivers features that the Xbox One has offered for some time.
The PS4 2.50 update is 299.7MB, and if you use Rest Mode it should download while you are away. Once this downloads you will likely need to walk through a short installation process before you can use your PS4 again.

If you are not using your PS4 with Rest Mode, you will need to check Downloads to make sure that the update arrives after you turn your PS4 on. You can then choose to install the PlayStation 4 System Software and your PS4 will restart to complete the process.
