Verizon’s 4G LTE Network Expanding to 11 New Markets Tomorrow
While we aren’t sure yet if Verizon will be launching the Samsung Galaxy Nexus tomorrow, we are sure that December 15th will see the launch of 4G LTE connectivity in 11 new markets and expansion in seven others.
In addition, Verizon has also announced that it’s 4G LTE network now covers over 200 million people across the United States. An impressive feat considering the carrier only launched its next-generation network just around a year ago.
So, who exactly is getting 4G LTE service tomorrow and who is seeing expansion?
Let’s take a look.
New Markets:
Dover, Del.; Lafayette, Ind.; Fitchburg/Leominster, Mass.; Duluth, The Rochester Area and St. Cloud, Minn.; Manchester/Nashua, N.H.; Poughkeepsie, N.Y.; Findlay/Tiffin and Youngstown/Warren, Ohio; and Indiana, Pa.
Expansion:
San Diego and San Francisco; Washington, D.C.; Savannah, Ga.; Chicagoland, Ill.; and Baltimore and Hagerstown, Md.
So that’s two launches (it will be launching a white Droid RAZR) on December 15th. Might we see a third in the Galaxy Nexus?
Let’s hope so.

San Diego? I’ll believe it when I see it. We have been waiting over a year in Oceanside, CA for 4G LTE. Verizon’s upgrade strategy for San Diego County is bizarre.
