A GBM Shortcut: Taking A Look at BlueTooth Headsets

Published

on

In what I hope will be a series over the next several weeks, This GBM Shortcut takes a look at some different Bluetooth headsets that work not only with mobile phones, but also Tablet PCs and UMPCs. I take a look at the Motorola H700, which I’ve been using for quite some time now, and also the Aliph Jawbone. The Jawbone is newer to the scene and an intriguing looking headset and in many ways is all about design, but it also offers a noise cancelling function that from my testing appears to work very well. It provides up to 6 hours talk time and up to 120 hours of standby time, both of which seem pretty accurate by my testing. The H700 has been around for awhile and has been my old standby, but I’m experimenting with the Jawbone to see if I’m ready to move on, even with its steeper price tag of $120 or so, depending on where you shop.
