Acer Drops Price on Aspire One NetBooks

Interesting. Acer has decided to drop the price on the Aspire One Netbook from $399 to $349 for the XP version and from $379 to $329 for the Linpus Linux version. Also of note, if you’re looking to purchase one with a six-cell battery you can do so for $399. I don’t remember the details on this, but those who might have bought one recently at Circuit City might want to check Circuit City’s price guarantees.

Wonder if Dell’s impending announcement of their Netbook (supposedly-but unconfirmed at $299) has anything to do with that.
