Looks like we’re going to see some improvments in the Bluetooth spectrum. The Bluetooth Special Interest Group, which is a trade association with the mission of advancing Bluetooth wireless technology, has adopted of a new spec. The Core Specification Version 2.1 +EDR (that stands for Enhanced Data Rate) that will offer increased security, improved pairing and enhanced power optimization. This will be good news for the mobile world, and of course will spur a whole new series of Bluetooth devices to replace the existing ones.
