With Android 5.0 Lollipop there's no longer a "gallery" app, at least not on Nexus devices. They'll still be on manufacturer phones, but Google's gone away with it and there's simply a "Photos" app that links to Google+ and the automatic photo backup function. Photos are stored here, and in the cloud, and this photo shows the new look vs the old gallery app on previous versions of Android.
