Another Ultra Portable: The M*Free
The M*Free is one of those converged devices that looks it wants to be everything to every body. Created by MIU the device has a number of different cartridges that slide in and out of the base depending on what you’re usage is. The HDPC (stands for Hybrid Dual Portable Computer) is supposedly capable of being digital camera/web camera, MP3 player, and a phone in addition to being a portable computer. It is an Windows XP device and the promotional claims are that it will give you better quality Internet calling than existing VoIP systems. Looks like the target price is $875.
Everybody is talking about this device (not in any real positive sense) so you can read more at Engadget, jkOnTheRun, Aving USA, and Only UMPC.
