Apple Pressures Newsday to Pull iPad Ad That Everyone Loved. Except Apple
Universal acclaim and kudos greeted the Newsday advertisement for their iPad App that featured a man reading his news on the iPad only to smash it to smithereens in attempting to kill a fly. Notice on our post about it from last week that the ad has been pulled. Looks like Newsday is off to the races and pulling it where ever it can find it.
It’s a shame that some folks just don’t have a sense of humor.

Here’s another version of the ad until it gets pulled. Watch it while you can.

I’m not sure it’s about sense of humor: Having another company’s product appear in your media comes with issues for the other company’s protections. Sounds like they didn’t get clearance. Unfortunately you can’t always grant a pass as a gesture of goodwill or future, real violations may not be defensible.
