AT&T 4G LTE Coming to New York City in December
We had heard that New York City was going to be lit up with AT&T’s 4G LTE network ‘soon‘ but we didn’t know when exactly. We also saw the network undergo a soft launch just a few short days ago in preparation for the big roll out. Today, AT&T confirmed that it will be launching its 4G LTE network in the Big Apple sometime during this month, December, although it did not commit to a specific date.
The news comes shortly after Ma Bell introduced its latest 4G LTE smartphone, the LG Nitro HD, and it comes a few weeks after the carrier lit up several cities in and around the United States with its next-gen network.
So this is great news for those of you that live in NYC and once testing is completed, it will be an achievement for AT&T as well.
AT&T expects to cover around 70 million people with its 4G LTE network by the end of 2011.
