AT&T HTC One X Android 4.2 Update Release Detailed

Published

on

On August 19th, the HTC One X Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and Sense 5 update started rolling out. Given the release, AT&T HTC One X owners likely thought they would be getting the Android 4.2 update with Sense 5 in 2013. Unfortunately, that will not be happening as HTC has released AT&T One X Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update release details today.

It has been several months since the HTC One X Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and Sense 5 update started pushing out and AT&T HTC One X owners likely have been wondering where their update is. HTC and AT&T had been quiet about the update, that is, until today when HTC finally announced a time frame for the long awaited AT&T HTC One X Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update.

According to HTC’s Executive Director of Product Management Mohammed Versi, the AT&T HTC One X Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update, with Sense 5 on board, is heading into the company’s labs next week. Furthermore, Versi offers a time frame for the AT&T One X’s update saying that the company is currently targeting approval and an OTA release during the month of January.

Keep in mind, this is a target month for HTC and is not a sure thing. That said, the broken silence is a good thing and this also serves as confirmation of an update, something that should sit well with those that may have lost hope. The prospects beyond Android 4.2 Jelly Bean don’t look good though as numerous rumors suggest that the HTC One X will stay on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean and skip Android 4.3 and Android 4.4.

Given how long the Android 4.2 Jelly Bean update has taken to roll out to the AT&T HTC One X, we imagine that it will be the last stop for those who bought into HTC’s former flagship last year.

Fortunately, those who are looking for something more will have two options in the new year. Those who bought the phone at the start will be coming off contract in the early goings of 2014, meaning, they can snag a phone that is going to be outfitted with new software for months to come. Users who don’t want to upgrade can also look into the HTC One X development community for support if Android 4.2 Jelly Bean is the last update for HTC’s aging wonder.

I quit working at shoprite to work online and with a little effort I easily bring in around $95 – $115 per/h. Without a doubt, this is the easiest and most financially rewarding job I’ve ever had. I actually started 6 months ago and this has totally changed my life. Here’s what I do…. Јobs95.Сom
