It just makes sense. Ultra-Mobile PCs designed with software and accessories for the car. We’ve talked about the software package StreeDeck here and that certainly seems like a ver promising software package (I’m still waiting for Matt to give that a try on his Asus.) But a hardware/software package also seems like an excellent marketing concept. We’ve heard before about the UREN. Ok, let’s get this out of the way right away. The other day I ranted a bit about the trend to name Ultra-Mobile PCs with model numbers instead of coming up with creative names. UREN certainly qualifies as creative, but, er, ummm, let’s think a little harder next time. Maybe I need to re-evaluate.
INFILL (use your favorite translator) has created the “G4”, another UMPC designed for your car, and according to the specs actually has a C7 1.5ghz CPU. From the descriptions it looks to be fully loaded. I think this is a good trend and hope it continues.
