CD Dock

CDs are long obsolete, and if you have some old ones lying around, you can repurpose them into a nifty-looking iPhone dock.

You might do it a bit differently than the linked tutorial, but you'll still need a small stack of CDs glued together. From there, you can take your Lightning cable and feed it up through the center holes of the CDs.

Then, you can take some bondo or other putty and fill in the CD hole, leaving your Lightning connector stick out so that you can plug your iPhone in. The connector should stay put once you have the bondo applied, and then you simply just wait for it to dry and cure. It would be wise to put something underneath your workspace, as the bondo could get on it.
