iPhone 6s with a Great Case
It's not waterproof, but the iPhone 6s handles water much better than the iPhone 6 did. The iPhone 7 is a handy option, but many users will want a cheaper option and the iPhone 6s with a waterproof case fits that bill.
If you still want to use an iPhone you can place it inside a LifeProof case to allow your iPhone to survive up to 6.6 feet of water or inside a Tech21 case.
There are three LifeProof case options available that offer a variety of options with the same overall protection from water, drops, dust and snow.
LifeProof Fre - This is the basic LifeProof case that includes a built-in screen protector and a $79.99 price but you can find it on sale for around $50.
LifeProof Nuud - For $89.99 you can get an option that leaves the iPhone 6 screen wide open while still delivering waterproof protection. This option is on sale for around $67 frequently.
LifeProof Fre Power - This case delivers a waterproof iPhone 6 with an extended battery for more power and protection. The LifeProof Fre Power is $129, but it is on sale for $85 very often.
LifeProof sells these cases in a variety of color options. For more, read our LifeProof Fre iPhone 6 waterproof case review.
If you buy the LifeProof FRE from Verizon it includes the LifeProof Total Water Protection program that covers the phone inside the case. This does not come with LifeProof case purchased at other retailers. With if your phone breaks from a drop, splash, spill or dunk into the water you can get it replaced by Verizon for a $50 deductible. The protection is valid for one year.
You must register this within 14 days of purchase. The LifeProof Total Water Protection program is also available for the Droid Turbo 2, LG G5, Droid Maxx 2 and several other phones. Another great option is the Tech21 Evo Xplorer waterproof iPhone 6s case. This is $89.95.
