If you buy the LifeProof FRE from Verizon it includes the LifeProof Total Water Protection program that covers the phone inside the case. This does not come with LifeProof case purchased at other retailers. With if your phone breaks from a drop, splash, spill or dunk into the water you can get it replaced by Verizon for a $50 deductible. The protection is valid for one year.
