We have known that it might take awhile before RIM gets the BlackBerry Bold 9900, a phone that it announced at BlackBerry World, out the door. And today, those fears were realized as it has become apparent that the company will likely not get the phone out until sometime after August is over.
According to a report from BGR, the BlackBerry Bold 9900 will not be hitting shelves until sometime in September, which is actually after when we thought it might arrive. Rumor had it, RIM wasn’t going to be able to push this thing out to consumers until August but it’s looking like it’s going to take even more time for it to release one of most highly anticipated BlackBerry devices in years.
It’s also a little surprising to hear considering RIM promised to get the device out at some point during the summer. In case the company forgot, summer ends in August.
So, if you have been planning on getting your hands on the new Bold, and many of you T-Mobile customers might be, then you likely aren’t going to see this thing drop for three months maybe even more.
