Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Release

The Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare release date arrived on November 4th for all, but most gamers scored an early copy of DAY ZERO to play on November 3rd.

Even if you didn’t pre-order you can still walk into most stores and pick up a copy of Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare without any problems. You can also buy the digital version, and get a free upgrade to the PS4 or Xbox One version when you buy a new console.

You can still buy the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare limited editions on Amazon and at some stores, but stock is low. The PS4 Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Atlas Limited edition is $79.99, but not available until November 7th on Amazon and out of stock on Best Buy. The Xbox One edition is sold by a third-party for $84.95.

Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare Problems

The Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare problems continue for some gamers. During the first two days slow downloads and problems with pre-loaded versions of the game kept many users from playing early.

To fix many of these issues, user had to delete the game and re-download Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare, all 40GB of the game to play.

We also saw problems with downloading bonus items, Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare server problems including “The Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare service is not available at this time.”

Most of these problems are past, but there is one important Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare issue that you need to watch out for if you just picked up the game.

According to Crave Online, some users are not able to install Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare on the Xbox One from the disk. This happens when you accept the Multiplayer update before the game is installed. If this happens the status will show installing and then queue and you will not be able to start Call of Duty. Use the steps from Crave to fix this problem,

  1. Remove the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare disc from your Xbox One.
  2. Go to My Games, press the Menu button, and then uninstall Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare.
  3. Place the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare disc back in your Xbox One.
  4. Try to begin the game, and if it asks you to update, say no. Your game should begin installing.
  5. After the install has completed, boot up the game and install the update

There are other complaints about lag, lack of dedicated servers and more, but these are the most common Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare problems.

Sledgehammer Games shared a list of the things that they want to fix in a Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare update. The list, shared on Reddit includes some complaints, but dodges the biggest.

The comments universally ask for dedicated servers for Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare. This is something that could help with the Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare lag problems that lead to many users losing one on one gun battles, even when they appear to have an edge. The video below shows this problem, with the  main player hitting at least seven shots and then loosing the fight.
